The Black Sex in the City/Girlfriends

Look at what we have here…

A new Sex in the City/Girlfriends is in the works, but with a twist.  The networks seem to hate lady bonding shows, and want to keep playing us on weather or not “Girlfriends” will be picked up, or even if they would be ever so kind as to bring back “The Game”. At this point it seems like we won’t need them. Thanks to Queen Latifa, who is coming out with a scripted show “Single Ladies” with Stacy Dash, Lisa Ray McCoy, and Lauren London …. (source)

Stacy Dash’s Characheter: “My character is very similar to my own life because I’ve never been single. Literally, since I’ve been 17 years old. She’s never been married, the character than I’m playing, whereas I’ve been married three times, so that’s the difference,” Dash says. “It’s a really good script.”

Lisa Ray’s Charachter: “She doesn’t have one of anything nor does she believe in having one man. She believes in dating and being able to explore her possibilities. She’s much like Samantha of Sex in the City,” explains the Player’s Club star. “Very straight up and honest. She’s the one that has that spunk, I’d like to say that she’s the slut of the three.”

Lauren London: plays a younger, semi-shy character married to an NBA player. Although London will be a recurring character in the show, her rep confirms that the role is small.

I have high hopes for this show… I’m rather tired of watching reality shows, seeing people acting the fool and it being the real them… I want to see some fake trash. Something to give me hope that not everyone in the world is a real life piece of shit. Right now all we know about the show “Single Ladies” is that 4 day rehearsals begin this week in Atlanta, and as of right now there is no known official start date.

Serena is doing the damn thing

Unlike her sister, Serena really puts her self out there in the lime light and still manages to keep her head in the game. I value that in celebrity, people that actually work hard for the fame and mean more then just some hoe-ish sex tape and daddy’s money. She even looks soft and feminine instead of her usual manish look. He body is damn near flawless.

Black Love: Tia ties the knot

One of the twins got married and looked stunning and radiant. it is so wonderful to see real black love. Someone that obviously took pride in her appearance and her marriage. I’m crying a little bit. awwwwwwwww!!!

The 30-minute outdoor ceremony was followed by a Midsummer Night Dream-style reception in the hotel’s ballroom. Florist Jennifer Katz of Fiori Design created tall iron centerpieces covered in moss and decorated with flowers in different shades of pink. The wedding cake was a four-tiered vanilla and red velvet cake by Cake Divas. Guests danced to the tunes of DJ Michael Hayes. -source

Poor Kelly!! What can I do to help?

I wish someone would tell her that showing up at EVERYTHING is NOT going to help career. It’s so sad because she is such a nice girl, she has a nice voice, Often dresses nicely but all of that just doesn’t seem to be working in her favor. Right now it seems as if Michelle has more of a chance then she does and Michelle looks like a weired little animal and her voice has the ability (sometimes) to make one want to bash their head against a window (I like Michelle). But for Kelly I’m going to make sure that i do as much as I can to show her how much I care. Starting NOW….

Kelly I CARE!!

someone ought to teach her to angel he entire nostril hole away from the camera cause i’m almost certain i can see her brain.

What a nice Girl

See, now this is what young actress’ and actors need to be doing in there spear time besides sniffing crack shot off bars. Doing something to help the greater good of the human race. I love this child.

Jurnee Smollett, co-star of “The Great Debaters,” announced her intentions of working with Wiley College officials to establish a $2 million scholarship fund in honor of Henrietta Bell Wells, the woman behind h
er “Great Debaters” character, and her mother Janet Smollett, a civil rights activist and humanitarian, Saturday evening.

The announcement was made before a sea of Wiley students, faculty and alumni at the 135th Founders Observance Banquet at Civic Center.

Actress Jurnee Smollett talks to the crowd of attendees at the 135th Founders Observance Banquet on Saturday at the Marshall Civic Center.

While holding back tears, Ms. Smollett vowed that the scholarship fund would “put young girls through college” and help diminish the negative stereotypes and images of black women as depicted by the media, which she feels are sensationalized. She also said the scholarship fund could possibly enable more African-American women to envision greater opportunities outside of what’s usually cast to them.

“I’m told I’m a statistic,” said Ms. Smollett, in a passionate address to the packed audience in the center. “I’m told that my young black sisters are disease-ridden…but we are greater than what society tells us we are.” -Source
