Old Singer, New Rapper: Bran’Nu AKA Brandy
Her Hair line is virtually gone, and I don’t think she will ever peak in R&B like she did back in the day BUTTTTT that may not be the end of the road with Brandy… Just this week or maybe it was last week her and Ray J, started a new reality show. I have yet to see an episode and haven’t really been interested in discussions regarding the show, but….. This all leads to my post. Brandy is a rapper. Like you know, how Trina, and Nicki, and Foxy, and (Khia = the greatest female MC of all times *giggle*) are rappers?? Brandy is a rapper too and she goes by the name Bran’Nu. She said he momma gave her that name, and that Timberland agrees and thinks that she can rock out with it. That’s Nice

Here’s how Bran’Nu came about. I was in the car one day rapping. I was just listening to a beat and started flowing off the top of my head. It was crazy. I was like, “Oh my God, I’m learning!” I’ve always loved hip-hop, could always quote all of the verses from rappers like Eminem, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z.
Sometimes I prefer hip-hop over R&B. So I could always do that. But never really seemed to fit. Then I did it one day. I was like “OMG, I could rap, I could rap, I know I can rap, let me call my brother and get confirmation.”
So I called my brother to get the confirmation, called my cousin, and I rapped for them and they were like, “B’ you’re onto something.” I did it as a hobby for a while and then Timbaland was like, “You gotta do this, you gotta come on the album.” For him to think that it was good enough to be on his album was like whoa.
But I’m a little nervous to really do Bran’Nu though on a consistent basis, because I never want my fans to think that I’m going to abandon them. I’m still Brandy. souce

NEW Album Cover: Whitney Houston
Ms. Whitney is back with her comeback album dropping on September 1st… I didn’t think it was possible with all the drugs that she shot up, inhaled, puffed, sniffed. For sure I thought she would have been out for the count. From the great things I have heard about her album so far via people that have gone to her listening parties…Whitney is doing her thing!!! You know I predicted that this was going to happen. I’m over joyed!!
I am one of those people that is a die hard t-pain fan and a die hard lil Wayne fan even though i can’t stand to look at either one of them from long periods of time. They both remind me of the reason why white people that that black people evolved from monkeys but that’s not the point…
I love both of their cd’s and i can’t wait until there callabo drops I’ll be one of those people that run out to go get it at lunch break, but can’t listen to it until the commute home where i will blast it from my sound system while in heavy traffic with the windows down wondering why all the white people are locking their doors and trying to not make eye contact with me. below t-pain elaborated on the plans that are already underway for this dynamic duo of a cd.
“T-Wayne is an entity that’s just gonna take over a side of the game,” Pain prophesied. “It’s two artists that done collaborated with every artist in the industry except each other. Being that we getting together, this T-Wayne movement is getting crazy.
“He’s sending me blank tracks, I’m sending him blank tracks,” Pain elaborated on the project.
“He’s sending me tracks with hooks, I’m sending him tracks with hooks. It’s just our hectic schedules are keeping us from recording. … But we both have studios on the bus. So we take that tour bus anywhere we go — it’s a done deal.”
Pain and Wayne collaborated on the next single from Tha Carter III, “Got Money,” as well as the first official single from Thr33 Ringz, “Can’t Believe It.”
” ‘Can’t Believe It,’ I just wanted to simplify things,” he said. “Basically I got a lot of stuff on my albums that’s not that simple. I’m not getting away from the simplicity of things, it’s just basically a way to calm things down. Then I put Wayne on it and he keeps murdering tracks I’m sending him. It’s just another world, it’s unexplainable.”

Keith Sweat is Back
And ready to fill the decline in population with more baby making music. Now you know there ain’t no decline in population cause EVERYBODY PREGNANT…. so I’m thinking that Keith sweat is already doing his thing on the underground hence baby boom 2008. Anyways I don’t know when it’s coming out. Hell it might even be a greatest hitz cd. So go stock up on lube and get the ready for Keith Sweat to put you in the mood with his grown man crooning.

Estelle Covers Bleu Mag
I had a chance to see her perform live and I must say that she is a great singer. you can tell she is new to the game but she’s really trying to do her thang and put her self out there in a positive light. when I saw her she was with John legend, he really gave her an opportunity to shine and get her burn and she did not disappoint.
all in all I would encourage her to fix her grill piece as soon as possible if she wants people to focus on her music rather then her appearance. unfortunately appearance sells records and talent really has nothing to do with it. She has been compared to Lauren Hill, but I didn’t see it. in the issue she speaks on the comparison (below)

Janelle Monae pisses me off a lil bit. call me mainstream but I think she’s to damn grown for the foolishness that she wears. I have to be honest and say that i haven’t heard any of her music (at least I don’t think I have) but she’s just so cute to be playing that “I need more attention” role. I mean she might as well put on a poodle skirt and a cardigan and do the sock hop. but who am i to judge WHAT DO I KNOW about fashion (except that what she wears is not it)
